About Us
Helen Horner Hamryka

With her family in the horse business since the 1940s, Helen Horner Hamryka could ride before she could walk.  She comes from a very well-known and respected equestrian family.  Her father was a retired equine veterinarian, Dr. Sam Horner, and her mother was a well-known trainer and judge, Lynne Horner.
Helen was champion in many hunter and equestrian arenas.  She was National Champion in the Small Junior Hunter Division. With numerous championships including the Devon Horse Show, the Middleburg Classic, the Detroit and Motor City horse shows, she was also second in the AHSA Hunter Seat Equestrian finals and fourth in the MaClay Equestrian Finals.
Upon completion of her junior career, she spent a year in Europe riding for Paul Schockemohle and Hans Horn.
For the last 30 years, Helen has been successfully training students for the hunter and equestrian rings.
Currently, she enjoys running Hidden Still Farm boarding facility with an emphasis on retirement and recovery board.  She is assisted by her husband, West Hamryka DVM, who is an avid fox hunter and equine supporter.
